I recently saw the thumbnail on YouTube for an episode of a popular conservative podcast in which a “modest swimwear” designer was interviewed. To be honest, I skipped the listen and clicked the link to see her designs. My disappointment in the aesthetic of product only reinforced my belief that there is not much out there for women who want to dress modestly but dont fall into the marketed categories of
-Muslim
-trad-wife-smocked-floral-dress
-oversized-linen-sack
-Christian Girl Autumn
So here is what I1 would consider modest (or at least can be incorporated into a modest wardrobe) style inspiration from NYFW for the woman who is just not that.2
If y’all like this, we can do it again

Some may be scandalized by the fact that I am “OK” with women’s shoulders!
There is NOTHING wrong with being in one of these categories. You’re just attracted to different clothing than I am and that is fine. I am sure you look beautiful in linen or florals.
I also love Tibi for modest-friendly pieces that don’t skew trad-wife.
Now would love to see a post of how people interpret these from their own closets! Wouldn't that be fun?
